Briz Chilli Fest

Chilli Challenges are a main feature at Briz Chilli Fest.

It’s hands up in the air for a win when government restrictions were eased to allow festivals to proceed with appropriate social-distancing and other measures in place.

Sponsorship from Brisbane City Council for our June date is carried over to this new October date.

Brought to you by Body and Soul Music and Events, a Brisbane-based boutique events agency, assisted by Sandra Beynon PR, with Miss Scarlett Habanero at the helm.

So far we have secured the beautiful Waterfront Park site at Newstead for Sunday 11th October, from 11am to 6pm, but we are crossing our fingers that Brisbane City Council will allow the use of the park on the Saturday 10th as well.   Local Councillor David McLachlan will now have this event in his electorate whose boundaries recently changed to include Waterfront Park, previously in the Central Ward under the stewardship of Councillor Vicki Howard.

Briz Chilli Fet

Waterfront Park in the Hamilton Ward, Brisbane, is the festival site.

We are slightly extending our site to include some extra hardstand to the north, so we have clear and easy entry points with no squishy bits.

The festival site for Briz Chilli Fest is at Newstead in central Brisbane, just a stone’s throw from the river.  After some much-needed rain, Brisbane is looking a lot greener than when Google Maps took this photo!Organisers are hoping patrons will rally to the call of the hard-struck events industry, bring along a red face mask and get into the swing of things.

Visit the website for more information, and follow the event on Instagram or Facebook.

We look forward to announcing more news about the festival soon, and getting into full-swing with PR!
